• A new language for identity, rooted in culture.

    masala of me

own it. evolve it. celebrate it.

  • THE JOURNEY

The masala of me journey begins with you

Every person carries a unique blend of strengths, experiences, and cultural roots that shape how

they connect and show up in the world. masala of me gives you a language for those strengths—

rooted in the spices at the heart and soul of South Asian heritage, created and designed for everyone.

Then we help you evolve it and celebrate it

From the soulful traditions of our roots to the heart of the universal human experience,

we provide tools to help you celebrate your unique story, experience deeper connections,

and build a legacy of understanding across generations.

  • Why "masala"?

    mas·a·la

    /məˈsäːlə/ • noun

Masala is more than a blend of spices. It is a way of understanding identity — complex, evolving, and wholly unique. Just as no two dishes share the same recipe, no two people share the same inner masala.

Our long-term mission is to make “masala” a globally understood word for a unique, soulful blend of personal and collective essence — as natural as “pajama,” as personal as you.

“masala of me gives the world something pure and authentic that helps preserve the essence of ourselves and our shared humanity.”

    YOUR MASALA DABBA

Your inner masala is your personal "masala dabba"—the full spectrum of strengths, traits, and endless possibilities within you. It isn't a fixed identity or a rigid label; it is your living inventory.

    YOUR DAILY CREATION

Every day brings a new dish to prepare: the choices, responses, and presence you bring to a given moment. Like any true blend, your masala dabba is alive—never static. Through life experiences and intentional practice, you can cultivate your blend of unique qualities and navigate the human journey with greater skill and awareness.

  • A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

"masala of me is a homecoming to self-love"

As the daughter of Indian immigrants, I grew up navigating two worlds while stepping into my own path

as a sister, wife, auntie, friend, and mother. Passing our culture forward is an ongoing daily practice for me—

sharing it with my son, my family, and the community of friends who have become family.

Together, we keep our roots alive by honoring what matters most while adapting how we live it today.

I created masala of me to give us all a vocabulary for our strengths:

a language deeply rooted in heritage, yet vibrantly alive for anyone navigating who they are today.

It is a homecoming to self-love—an invitation to recognize and celebrate your unique blend as it is in this moment.

This living language was born right in my kitchen, where food is love.

As a passionate home cook, I play with spices while drawing on Ayurvedic wisdom and modern wellness.

I honor traditions, create thoughtful adaptations, and innovate freely—crafting dishes around

a feeling I want to evoke, with no recipe in sight. Every dish reflects my qualities, memories, and intentions,

brought to life by the love in my hands. I truly believe that our energy and care transfer into everything we create.

That is how we cultivate our lives. Your inner masala isn't fixed—it's ever-evolving.

Every day is a chance to take what you carry and blend it into something whole, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

What Are Beta Families Are Saying

“An incredibly thoughtful, creative, and unique approach to helping kids develop empathy, creativity, and self-reflection. Connecting the activities back to elders and family stories felt deeply meaningful for us. We loved going through the materials together as a family.”

    — Bhavika, Family Kit Tester

“Reading just one card inspired the most amazing discussions across generations. It prompted my niece to ask her grandma pointed questions, and suddenly my mom was sharing stories about how she met my dad that the 14-year-olds had never heard before! It set an interactive, grounded tone for our whole weekend.”

    — Archena, Family Reunion Experience Tester

“Pallavi, you did a stupendous job with food and games. I can’t stop raving about your scrumptious appetizers and desserts. The wedding games were totally out of the box! Definitely super engaging and enjoyable. Looking forward to your next event and best wishes to you in your future endeavors.”
